Legacy Canine Training and Behavior

Cheryl is a lead instructor with Legacy Canine, teaching classes from Pet Dog Manners to Canine Good Citizen, Tricks, Freestyle, Animal Assisted Activities, and others. Cheryl also conducts Team Teaching, one-to-one lessons with individual dog owners.

Cheryl serves as a Teaching Assistant for Bob Bailey chicken training workshops conducted at Legacy Canine.

Legacy Canine is owned and directed by Terry Ryan and her husband Bill. Terry worked with Leo Bustad at Washington State's College of Veterinary Medicine, and was coordinator of the People-Pet Partnership from 1981 to 1994. She has been an instructor since 1968, and brought her skills and training to Sequim, Washington, in 1998. She conducts international seminars and workshops, hosts interns, and hosts chicken training seminars.

Legacy Canine opened a new training center in Sequim, Washington, in November 2006. The facility has 2800 square feet of indoor space and 2 acres of fenced outdoor space, including the "Bond-tanical Garden" designed to welcome dogs. Puppy classes, Pet Dog Manners classes, Continuing Education classes, and Team Teaching are offered regularly. Legacy also hosts seminars and special events.
